The Hairbrush :(

And, as promised, the hair brush story...

We're at Walmart the other day.  I'm looking at body washes and I notice John is missing so I go on a hunt for my silly husband and found him in the hairbrush aisle.  He's got a hairbrush in his hand smacking his palm with it.  I walk up to him and matter-of-factly explain to him "Honey, you can't use the plastic ones, they break and they don't work as well as the wood ones" shrugs "sorry, Honey"  A little disappointed, he replaces the hair brush to its location and turns around and "Oh look, wood ones!"  Now, when did Walmart start carrying wood hairbrushes?!  (Note to self, send a very nasty e-mail to Walmart)  Then my wonderful husband picks up a wood hairbrush and taps him palm with it "hmm mm hm" he says to himself, then looks at me and smiles.  Then "Whack!" right on my bottom, in the hairbrush aisle in Walmart!  I immediately spun around to make sure no one saw.  I didn't see anyone gawking, so if someone saw, they didn't stick around.  Whew!  Then I remembered, Walmart has cameras!

We did practice with the hairbrush last night before going out to dinner and let me tell you.  I definitely goes under our "punishment only" list.  Yikes!  That thing hurt and he wasn't even using it hard.  The worst part, is it has kind of a quiet "thud" so he can use it in the house, no waiting for time to sneak to the garage.

I now have a love/hate relationship with that hair brush...I love to hate it!  :)

After posting this my husband gave me another spanking with the hairbrush.  This one was more of a practice to see how it would work in the house.  It was over my jeans and still left my butt burning.  Ergh!  After he was done, he began brushing his hair with it and said "hm, it does a good job brushing hair too"  Imagine that!  Using a hairbrush to brush hair.  Who would have thought, it does have other uses besides spanking your wife with it.

  1. Solid wooden hairbrushes actually aren't that easy to find, it seems. "Lucky" for you that you did. :) Did you buy an ironing board, too? ;) I am very happy that my local Wal-Mart doesn't sell any wooden bath brushes. Just the kind with nice soft spongy things on one end.

    Happy spanking! :D

    1. Yes they are hard to find. It's just my luck to find one in our Walmart. We also got our solid wood back brush there too. I think the managers at ours must be spankos lol.

And no I did not buy an ironing board lol. We bought the brush before I posted about my need for an ironing board.

  2. Ha! Mine like to pick things up in the store and test them in his hand. When I see him do it I think everybody must know exactly what he is thinking.

LOL, I have never been swatted with an actual implement in the store. Hope there were no cameras in that aisle.

If it's any consolation, my hubby broke my wooden hairbrush on my butt. When I replaced it I intentionally got one of the plastic ones. ;) The most terrible thing about hairbrushes for me is that they can leave them lying anywhere as a "reminder" and only you and he know what it's about.

    1. I was definitely shocked when he did swat me in the store. I think I was more surprised than I was hurt by the smack (in the store).

  3. Ooh boy, that would have had me blushing for sure! We recently acquired a wooden bath brush...and he has declared it his new favorite implement. Yikes!

    1. We already have a wooden bath brush and let me tell you, that thing is mean! The wooden hairbrush is very similar to it in feeling except smaller so it can be used OTK and for some reason, quieter so it can be used in the house :(

  4. My husband LOVES to swat me in stores. I've been swatted in Walmarts, Targets and recently Ikea.
He usually does it for some type of sassiness, and will say "good play"! like he's patting me, but makes it hurt.
I about died when he first did it, people were in the isle!
I think I'm more used to it. I didn't even flinch much this weekend when I snapped at him about a chair leg at Ikea. I was swatted right then with a smirk.
    AK!
Now.. I have managed to keep him away from hair brush isle... I think ours has bath brushes near by as well.
No thank you! LOL I don't want any new implements in the house. The rubber ruler is enough.

    1. As I've read through your blog, I remember thinking "at least John wouldn't spank me in a store" how wrong I was. We do have a bath brush too but that wasn't tested in the store thankfully.

  5. I hope that your husband doesn't read your comments but I am going to risk it anyway. My husband keeps this brute of a hairbrush in the van to use when needed. He says it doesn't look obvious to the kids and they won't know what it is used for. They did ask me once why that brush was so heavy. I told them to ask their dad, that it is his brush, not mine. I absolutely hate the hairbrush. So you have my deepest sympathies. So, so sorry about your new purchase. And it should be punishment only

    1. He reads my comments sometimes but it's ok because he's already thought of that. O yeah and it's small enough to fit in my purse :)

  6. haha! DH loves my hair brush, and loves it even more when he sees me using it to brush my hair because he can tease me about it. So that one doesn't go in the closet but is hanging in the bathroom...

  7. Oh no, not the dreaded wooden hair brush! Ours is used for punishment only. That thing really packs a wallop and stings too. Ours was purchased at a local Rite Aid. I've heard that Sally Beauty is a good place to find them, but I'm not looking!
